Permission Slips available soon! “Jobs not Jails” in Los Angeles with over 20 years of success in changing the lives of ex-gang members through employment and training.As the G.R.I.P. program and now as ySTRIVE we maintain a productive relationship with the Santa Barbara Teen Legal Clinic, StreetLaw program. StreetLaw continues to be part of our focus as ySTRIVE because it provides classroom instruction for our peers and focuses on a positive and proactive understanding of our legal rights and responsibilities. We have successfully worked with the Santa Barbara Police Department on yearly three-day youth and police retreats. On these retreats an average of 35 youth a year, who would otherwise only have negative interaction with law enforcement on the streets, get to spend positive time with officers in the foothills of Montecito.
