Making A Difference Intervention Collaborative (website) PARTNER
Casa Esperanza (website) - open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Offering a wide array of services for the homeless, with an emphasis on both emotional and physical health
* In collaboration with Casa Esperanza and New Friendship Baptist we provide for a free lunch program (Mon-Fri from 11:30-12:30 pm) at 912 E. Cota in Santa Barbara
Food Bank of Santa Barbara (website) - is a non-profit organization working to eliminate hunger by providing food, education and other resources to a network of hunger-relief charities and their communities.
* Will begin collaboration with Food Bank and New Friendship Baptist to provide a weekly food distribution program for its surronding community (starting February 2010) at 912 E. Cota in Santa Barbara
Homeboy Industries: Trips (website) - Jobs not Jails: Homeboy Industries assists at-risk and formerly gang-involved youth to become positive and contributing members of society through job placement, training and education.
* In collaboration with La Cuesta High School we take students to visit when funds permit. We are still looking to collaborate with them in the future. Some of our past trips:
[March 2006] [Jan 2007] [July 2007] [Nov 2007] Liberty Program (website) - provides a service for the removal of antisocial tattoos from persons willing to exchange the treatment for community service with the goal of improving body, mind and spirit.Ph. (805) 563-9294
* We have provided community service opportunities that qualify for treatment since 2006. We are still looking to collaborate with them in the future.
Santa Barbara Teen Legal Clinic (website) - To educate (The Street Law)) youth about their legal rights and responsibilities and to empower them to make decisions that will allow them to grow into responsible and productive adults in our community.
* In collaboration with SBTLC we provide community outreach, assistance in fund-raising and act as a liasion to MADIC.
