In 2012 YStrive has impacted the lives of youth, young adults, parents, community members and other organizations. Through our many efforts we remain true to our mission of community empowerment by building community capacity one person at a time. Over three hundred individual contacts were made, going beyond programming to build relationships. A vast majority of our relationships span for 4 or more years and some since our first retreat in 2000.

Annual Youth Retreat (Annual in April/May)
Over 800 Community Services hours toward graduation by High School students and 600 hours by volunteers building "Unity In Our Community"ity.
Educational Support Meetings (As needed)
Students attended subject specific workshops, financial aids seminars and writing classes. Several of our parents have returned to school to get the high school diplomas
Fiesta Food Booth (86 hours of operation over 5 days)
105 hours of food service and training. Food service safety training (Health Department Safe Serve). Customer service to include cashiering skills, promotion, signage and BBQ support
Graduation Barbecue (Annual in June)
Graduating High School seniors and those transitioning schools are recognized and awarded. Parent participate and provide food.
